Funding Options

Funding is available for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families to assist with accessing early intervention services. This initiative of the Australian government means that eligible children and families are able to obtain financial assistance from the government to be used towards receiving ongoing, quality therapy services from multidisciplinary teams working in private services.

Teach 2 Talk Speech Pathology is a member of the Early Intervention Service Provider Panel (under Windermere’s consortium). Clients who are eligible for financial assistance under the Helping Children with Autism Package (HCWA) or the Better Start for Children with Disabilities Initiative (BSI) can access speech pathology services at this clinic  by utilising the Department of Social Services Early Intervention funding  (Formerly FaHCSIA).

For additional information on these federal government initiatives please refer to the Department of Social Services Website, in particular the Helping Children With Autism and Better Start for Children with Disabilities Initiative pages.

Financial support is also available through several different programs under Medicare. Irene Deanne Frangoulis has a Medicare Provider Number therefore clients may be eligible for rebates on speech pathology services after obtaining, from their GP, one of the following plans listed below:

  • The Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (previously known as The Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Program) provides clients with five sessions with an allied health professional per calendar year.

  • The Helping Children With Autism Access to Treatment Plan provides clients with 20 sessions with an allied health professional. These rebates can only be used once in the child’s lifetime, they must be written by their 13th birthday and used by their 15th birthday.

Clients should speak with their GP for further information.

Private Health Rebates

Families with Private Health cover may be able to claim rebates for Speech pathology services. Please consult your private health fund for more details.
